Open access

Punto Cero journal is the academic and scientific journal of the Social Communication Sciences Career of the Universidad Católica Boliviana. Punto Cero is an open access journal and allows the download of all its published articles with a source mention.

The growing importance of the open access movement has prompted funding institutions and entities to adopt open access policies that recommend or oblige authors to deposit their publications in open access repositories. The adoption of mandates by institutions is one of the most effective measures to promote open access among the academic community and reduce the reluctance that many authors express regarding open access.

As part of its open access policy, Punto Cero publishes the contributions sent by their authors, without financial retribution, with the express authorization of these authors.

Likewise, Punto Cero promotes among the students of the Bolivian Catholic University the dissemination in open access of all its content, guaranteeing compliance with standards that guarantee the preservation, access, interoperability and visibility of the content hosted by Punto Cero.

On the other hand, Punto Cero watches over the copyright and intellectual property rights of the content deposited on its site, under the provisions of Law 1322 and its Copyright Regulations of the Plurinational State of Bolivia.
